The Canadian Exploration Geophysical Society is pleased to invite you to their next KEGS talk. Geosoft will be the technology sponsor for the online portion of the event.

Airborne Inductively induced polarization (AIIP) is a phenomenon noted in VTEM™ data and is related to the relaxation of polarized charges in the ground. AIIP mapping is applied to Mirny VTEM data, to extract chargeability and more accurate resistivity. This talk discusses two different ways this effect is removed from the data.

Tuesday, May 10, 2016 4:30pm - 5:30pm Toronto/EDT

Speaker: Karl Kwan - Senior Interpreter/Data Processing, Geotech Ltd.

Karl Kwan is a senior geophysicist at Geotech LTD since 2011. He received a M.Sc. (1989) in geophysics from University of Toronto. After graduation, he joined Paterson, Grant & Watson Limited. From 1996 to 1999, he was processing airborne geophysical survey data at High-Sense Geophysics. In 2000, he returned to Paterson, Grant & Watson. In 2008, he joined Quantec Geoscience Limited. In the last two years, he has been studying the Airborne Inductively Induced Polarization (AIIP) effect, and searching better ways to extract the chargeability from VTEM data. - See more at: http://ww2.geosoft.com/Karl_Kwan_Bio.html#sthash.pl8AhyjD.dpuf
