Halliburton Tech Day in Rio de Janeiro

Recently, Halliburton was involved in an event in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil featuring the technology of its Landmark business line, specifically the new DecisionSpace® Desktop suite of software with workflows for Deepwater and Pre-Salt challenges.

There were three sessions:

• Prospect identification with focus on salt domes and hydrocarbon prospects interpretation;
• Earth modeling and field development plan creation and validation with emphasis on multi reservoir, WAG scenarios creation (CO2 and Water) and uncertainty management;
• Real time, geomechanical and drilling operations.

The event concluded with a group discussion on envisioning the handling of production and monitoring challenges using our integrated DecisionSpace® for Production solution.

In addition to the technical sessions, several walk-up demonstrations were given covering the aspects of monitoring and analysis of real-time drilling operations with gathered subsurface geologic and petro-physical data using DecisionSpace® InSite® software, integrated well planning with DecisionSpace WellPlanning suite and a detailed product demonstration using the DecisionSpace Desktop software with a focus on geologic and geophysical workflows."
