Geofísico Xiong Li faz palestra na SBGf

Será realizada nesta quinta-feira, dia 7 de abril, às 17h30, no auditório da SBGf, a palestra: "Some developments in integration of different geophysical data sets: Seismic, gravity, magnetic and electromagnetic" ,  pelo geofísico chinês Xiong Li, principal geofísico da Fugro Gravity & Magnetic Services.

Biography

Xiong Li has received a BEng in 1984 and a MEng in 1987 from Chengdu University of Technology and a PhD in 1991 from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, all in geophysics. He had worked at universities in Germany and Canada and BHP in Australia before he joined Fugro in the USA in 2001.

He worked on the joint inversion of gravity and seismic data in his PhD dissertation. He was involved in developments of borehole gravimeter and airborne gravity gradiometer technologies.

He is currently Chief Geophysicist of Fugro Gravity & Magnetic Services and his work includes researches and technical support for gravity and magnetic methods for petroleum exploration and production: from data acquisition to data processing, from interpretation to software development.
